Love is in the Water at the South Carolina Aquariums Valentines Dinner   (February 03, 2012)

Talk about a unique date night! Grab your honey and join the South Carolina Aquarium for the Love Under the Sea Valentines Dinner taking place on Tuesday, February 14, 2012. Couples start the night out with a crowd-free, leisurely stroll through the Aquarium, enjoying the serenity of the marine life after-hours. Then its on to a three-course meal at a private table located in front of captivating exhibits such as the Great Ocean Tank or Carolina Seas or in front of large windows overlooking the historic Charleston harbor.

Hamby Catering and Events is preparing the three-course meal which will feature:
Starter Salad:

  •     Garden salad with mixed baby greens, cucumbers, tomatoes, mushrooms and parmesan cheese with choice of dressing
Choice of entree:
  •     Grilled chicken breast with champagne sauce
  •     Marinated pork tenderloin with fruit chow chow
  •     Stuffed portabella mushroom
Choice of Side:
  •     Herb roasted new potatoes
  •     Green beans Almondine
Dessert:
  •     Chocolate mousse with angel crisp and raspberry sauce
To Drink:
  •     Red or white wine
  •     Water or iced tea

The Love Under the Sea Valentines Dinner is Tuesday, February 14. Doors will open for mingling at 6:15 p.m. with dinner seating at 7:00 p.m. Reservations start at $165 a couple. South Carolina Aquarium Members receive a $10 discount on their reservations. Space is limited and reservations are required. You Otter Be My Valentine:
Just for Valentines Day, a special gift to show some love to the Aquariums animals through the You Otter Be My Valentine animal adoption. This adoption goes towards supporting education and conservation programs and efforts at the Aquarium. For $50 adoptive parents will receive a personalized adoption certificate for a river otter, a plush river otter toy and two 4-D tickets! Theyll also get a fun fact sheet and an adoption decal. Adoptions can be purchased online at http://www.scaquarium.org or by calling (843) 579-8629. Place your order by February 9 to ensure delivery for Valentines Day.

About the South Carolina Aquarium:
The South Carolina Aquarium, Charlestons most visited attraction, features thousands of amazing aquatic animals from river otters and sharks to loggerhead turtles in more than 60 exhibits representing the rich biodiversity of South Carolina from the mountains to the sea. The Aquarium plus the 4-D Theater experience is free for Toddlers, $17.95 for Children, $24.95 for Adults, and $23.95 for Seniors.
