VR film work - educational, documentary, entertainment and even marketing - has grown faster than the pioneers expected and it's only getting better and more exciting. All of the tools are getting better, faster, less expensive faster than industry forecasters predicted. Try even the basic (cheap) tools and you'll understand why once you watch it you want more. The good shooters and producers are delivering for the immersion hungry audience and learning that while it's great it doesn't meet everyone's needs the same way. The VR filmmakers are more than just creative in what they deliver, they're creative in how they get from concept to something you can don an HMD and enjoy. VR is now on everyone's to-do list but no one is overpromising. No one wants another '3D is the killer' message flying around. The people who are doing it seriously and well are doing it right and it's awesome. Computer, storage and HMD producers are waiting for the list of titles to grow.
